The role

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Deal with all aspects of client “onboarding” including:
    • AML / KYC
    • Identity checks and address verification / CreditSafe
    • Loading client information and “jobs” on to IRIS
    • Obtaining client consent to subscribe for newsletters / blogs etc
    • Risk questionnaires
    • Engagement letters
    • Invoicing
    • Checklists
    • Driving automation of the onboarding process
  • Support with general Office Management responsibilities
  • Management of the team diary, meetings and social events
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers eg training bodies, web site providers, fee protection / PI insurers, Landlord,
  • Preparation of management accounts, budgets and forecasts, statutory accounts and supporting tax computations for a portfolio of owner managers clients
  • Bookkeeping support for a portfolio of clients
  • Monitoring the timely preparation and filing of VAT returns for a portfolio of clients
  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Support and assistance to the Payroll team from time to time
  • Preparation and submission of Annual Confirmation Statements (and other Companies House compliance reporting)
  • Support the Practice Manager in
    • preparing workflow planning reports
    • analysing time / cost records
  • Contributing to writing blogs for the website and content for social media periodically
  • Coordinate regular AML training for the team
  • Handling, distribution and scanning on incoming post
